Old Resources for new

Reviewing the previous tutors class notes and resources I soon noticed that several of the handouts were quite dated and the other methods of delivery were mainly OHP slides. During the summer break of 2007 I started to update some of the handouts by inserting updated drawings, word processing handouts and preparing powerpoint presentations to aid the learners understanding of difficult areas where I could take a step by step approach to such things as calculations and practical tasks.

To further this and to ensure that I develop Inclusivity and Differentiation for all learners I wanted to learn about various other types of resources which I could use within the classroom environment which would make learning varied, interesting and relevant for all learners.

I have struggled with certain parts of this task as I am new to using Blogs and although I can use general Microsoft Word & Excell programmes I need to further this by learning how these can be used for teaching practices. Part of this has already been done by reading the discussions on the Resource Group and some usefull information and different ways of using technology have come to light over the last 5 - 6 weeks. I intend to continue this development over the summer months by developing new materials and methods available for learners on the Engineering Advanced Diploma course.
